Making the Green Apple and Smoked Gouda Crustini
A Note about PreparationThis is a great appetizer to prepare ahead of time, place on a baking sheet, and keep in the refrigerator until your guests arrive. Because their cooking time is so quick, it’s a great appetizer to hold off until your dinner party is in full flow, then throw them in quickly, and feed your hungry guests. Consider Adding BaconA nice thing about this recipe is that it is vegetarian friendly. However, like with many other foods, bacon always makes it better. When you prep your bacon cook it so that it is still quite moist, about half way as a rule of thumb. Then place a small piece on top of the cheese. Once it’s placed into the broiling oven, it will finish cooking to a nice crisp finish over it’s couple minutes under the heat.
